Complications include diabetic eye disease, diabetic renal disease, diabetic neuropathy, stroke, ischaemic heart disease, and management of obesity.

Gestational Diabetes is another condition that is quite common these days. It is diabetes that is diagnosed during pregnancy. In these cases, the Endocrinologists will be working alongside Dietary Specialists and Obstetricians to provide a positive outcome for the child and mother.
