Neurology

Neurology is the field of medicine that deals with the diseases and disorders of the nervous system including the brain, muscles, blood vessels, and nerves. The areas of neurology are central, autonomic, and peripheral nervous systems. The most common conditions associated with Neurology are brain tumors, sleep disorders, spinal degenerative diseases, neurovascular diseases/trauma of spine and brain, movement disorders, Parkinson’s stroke, and more. Even a minor disturbance in the nerves’ and spine’s functioning can lead to overwhelming disabilities.

Treatment

Here are some of the medical procedures that we provide:

  • CT Scan – Computerized Tomography is a type of X-ray. It takes cross-sectional images of body parts that are then examined by a technician. In some cases, CT-images are combined for creating a 3-D image to get a clear idea of the condition. CT-scan is often recommended by doctors for identifying internal swelling and internal bleeding for spotting the area of the tumor. For some cases, the technician uses a contrast material for the CT-scan that highlights the area that must be tested. The material can be sent into the body using different ways like injection, oral, or rectal.
  • Brain Tumors – Tumors are serious disorders that put pressure on the brain and can even damage it. In fact, the brain tumor is one of the main reasons for an increase in intracranial pressure. Thanks to the advancements in surgical methods such as micro-neurological and anesthesia techniques have illuminated the disorders associated with a brain tumor. These can be because of an abscess, AIDS, cysticercosis, tuberculoma, etc.
  • Brain Tumors can increase the chances of paralysis, speech loss, loss of body coordination, or memory loss. The location of the tumor can also affect the symptoms of the brain tumor. To confirm the presence of a brain tumor, neurologists carry out different treatments like CT Scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and lumbar puncture.

At Germanten Hospitals we have state-of-the-art Operation theatres that are well-equipped to any form of neurosurgery. Also, all the imaging, radiology, pathology, and microbiology services are available in the hospital itself. We have the best surgeons, skilled aestheticians, and well-trained medical staff that can provide the highest quality of medical care.
